Lighting and Renovation Wiring in Bethlehem's Classic Homes
Delmar and Elsmere grew as streetcar and railroad suburbs of Albany, and many streets are lined with colonials, Tudors and capes from the early and mid twentieth century. These homes are well built, but most were wired with a single ceiling fixture per room, few kitchen circuits and panels that have been added onto over the years.
That makes lighting and remodel wiring our most common work here: recessed and pendant lighting in kitchens and living rooms, dimmers and switch updates, and the new circuits a kitchen or bathroom renovation needs. We plan fixture layouts around joists and plaster ceilings to keep openings small, and our crew handles the patching.
Newer neighborhoods in Slingerlands, Glenmont and Selkirk tend to need EV chargers, generators, outdoor lighting and added capacity for finished basements.
